The default user name is Administrator. Default password The default password is either blank or the ACCESS KEY printed on the label of your Thomson Gateway. This depends on the settings chosen by your Service Provider. It is recommended to change the default password settings.
Configuration Tools Backing Up/Restoring your Configuration Introduction Once you have configured your Thomson Gateway to your needs, it is recommended to backup your configuration for later use. This way you can always return to your working configuration in case of problems.
Enter the user name and password that you specified on the Remote Assistance page. The Thomson Gateway GUI appears. It is now possible for a remote user to access your Thomson Gateway via the specified URL using the provided user name and password.

The Connect To Server window appears. In the Server Address box, type smb://<server name>, where <server name> is the Server Name you assigned to your USB storage device (default: smb://THOMSON). If you did not provide a server name, type smb://192.168.1.253.
DLNA-certified devices. To allow you to access your media in a quick and easy way, the Thomson Gateway scans your storage device for meta data information (for example, title, artist, album) and stores it in a database. When you are looking for a file, the Thomson Gateway can simply query the database instead of having to go through all the files.
