Activating/deactivating the system coding

Activating/deactivating the coding

In the Security Set-up you can activate the coding for your TravelPilot. If the
coding is active, it will not be possible to start the system after it has been dis-
connected from the vehicle battery unless the correct code number is entered
(refer to "Switching on coded systems after they have been disconnected from
the vehicle battery").
Note: Because the TravelPilot has not been equipped with any oth-
er theft-protection system, we strongly recommend that you acti-
vate the coding and the LED.
To activate/deactivate the coding,
Mark the menu item CODE in the Set-up menu Security and
Press OK 8.
The coding will be activated/deactivated. The current setting will be displayed
behind CODE . For security reasons, it will now be necessary to enter the code
to confirm this selection. OFF is the default setting, i.e. the code is not activated.

Activating/deactivating the code-LED

To indicate that your TravelPilot is protected from theft by the code, you can
activate the code-LED. The code-LED lights up in the ON button 2. If LED has
been activated in Set-up Security, the ON button 2 will flash when the system
and the vehicle ignition have both been switched off.
To activate/deactivate the code-LED,
Mark the menu item LED in the Set-up Security menu and
Press OK 8.
The code-LED will be activated/deactivated. The current setting will appear be-
hind LED . ON is the default setting.
