7. SYSTEM SETUP

System Setup allows modification of various security features such as passwords for
the user and the administrator, button lock and key tone. The user can also access
management for the hard drive. The DVR's identification can also be set if there is a
need to control more than one DVR with the remote controller.

1. USER AND THE ADMINISTRATOR PASSWORD

The user password is the general password used for non-critical features such as
unlocking the buttons after the auto button lock has been activated or to connect to the
DVR remotely using the DVR client software. The user level password also grants
access all the features except system power off, stop recording, main menu, lock and
schedule. The administrator's password grants access to all the functions of the DVR.
Highlight the user or the administrator's password
then press the right directional button to enter the
password modification screen.
Enter the current password.
