2. MOTION RECORDING

Please verify that the motion feature has been enabled under the appropriate group's
Record Camera setting under Record Setup menu. Also, verify that the appropriate
recording group has been selected from the Event Setup menu, and that post recording
duration has been configured under the event setup menu. Finally, verify that the
motion grids are activated.
The record setup allows the DVR to use a combination of both features. Please note
that the NVJV DVR does global recording, in which the DVR records all cameras even if
an event occurs from one of the cameras.
Press the record button and the EVENT icon will
appear with a white dot as shown on the left. The
DVR is not recording as long as the dot is white
When a motion is detected, the record LED will
turn solid and the dot next to EVENT icon will turn
red. The motion alert icon will appear on the
channel the alarm was triggered, and the channel
icon will turn red and will start to blink with the
motion alert.
