Example:
A user at PC (1) selects the "Dial" function from a TAPI-compliant Personal Information Manager
(PIM). The PC's operating system routes this request over the LAN (2) to the Telephony Server (3),
which translates and forwards the request over a serial connection (4) to the DBS 576HD (5). The
DBS 576HD then places the call from the user's telephone (6).
