Example:
A user at PC (1) selects the "Dial" function from a TAPI-compliant Personal Information Manager
(PIM). The PC's operating system routes this request over the LAN (2) to the Telephony Server (3),
which translates and forwards the request over a serial connection (4) to the DBS 576HD (5). The
DBS 576HD then places the call from the user's telephone (6).

• DBS 576HD CPC (Version 3.6 or above)

• 64 MB Random Access Memory (RAM)
• 10.0 MB disk space
• Network port connected to the LAN
• COM port dedicated for use with the LAN TAPI system
• Software:
• Microsoft Windows NT Server 4.0 or 6a or above, with Service Pack 4 or higher
• TAPI version 2.1 basic telephony service. Tested applications: Microsoft Phone
Dialer, Microsoft Outlook 98, and MultiActive Software Inc. Maximizer.
