REMOTE PROGRAMMING THE ADC NON-SCROLLING DIRECTORY USING DTMF

Mircom provides remote programming functions such as: entering, reviewing and deleting of resident codes,
telephone numbers and keyless codes. To perform this function a telephone capable of generating a "Touch
Tone" or DTMF (dual tone multi-frequency) signal is required.
To programme the ADC non-scrolling directory from a remote location the following steps should be followed:
1. Dial the phone number of the remote system directory to be programmed.
2. After it rings three times you will hear three short beeps indicating that you are connected to the system.
3. Dial the pass code (Factory Set for *999) and you will hear a long beep which indicates that you are logged in.
The options available to programme from a remote location are:

Enter 4 digit resident code and a seven digit number, then press # to store this
information. Please wait for the tone that you hear to have sounded completely
before you press the next button

Review or Delete resident code and telephone number

Enter Prefix Digit (digit 0 to 9) for area code

Enter 4-digit keyless code
*404
Review or Delete keyless code
TONE INDICATION:
3 Short Beeps - indicates connection to remote system
1 Long Beep - indicates confirmation data has been received
Combination of 2 tones - indicates error
ENTER TENANT CODE

To enter resident code and telephone number press *101 and wait for the confirmation tone (one long beep)

NOTE: Remember to enter numbers and symbols slowly (1 per second)

Dial the resident code (4-digit) and wait for confirmation tone, then dial the 7 or 8 digit telephone number and
wait for the confirmation tone and press # to store or * to quit and wait for confirmation tone.

NOTE: anytime there is an error tone, the system brings you back to the main menu. Also if the system is
set for an 11-digit phone number i.e. an area code plus telephone number, the first digit entered is the prefix
(area) code.
