6. Maintenance

6.1 Changing the Material

 Withdraw the leftover material from printer.
Initialize printer and choose "3D print->Maintain". Click "Withdraw" . Printer
automatically begins heating up nozzle. When temperature of nozzle
reaches about 260° C, printer gives off beep, and you can gently pull the
filament, and withdraw the material out of print head.
 Install a new spool of material
Place a new spool of material on the spool holder, and pull it through the
filament tube, until the material is about 10cm out of the other end of the
tube, then insert it into the hole at the top of the extrusion head installed on
the machine.
 Extrude the new material
Select "maintain" from the "3D Print" menu. Press the "Extrude" button in
the "maintain" Dialogue. After nozzle warms up to 260° C, printer beeps.
Push the filament into the hole at the top of the extrusion head with
moderate pressure. The extrusion head then extrudes molten material in a
form of thin, bright, and smooth plastic thread.

If the nozzle is blocked, remove the nozzle and soak it in
acetone to clean it.
