Checking the Remaining Battery Power

Preparation: Attach the battery.
1 .
Press INDEX.
● The remaining battery power and recordable time are
displayed for about 3 seconds.
INDEX
To display the information for about 15 seconds, press
INDEX for 2 seconds or longer.

Memo :
● The recordable time display should only be used as a
guide.
It is displayed in units of 10 minutes.
● The recordable time shown on the LCD screen may differ
from that shown on the viewfinder.
When the power is on

Video shooting mode: Press INDEX three times.
Still picture shooting mode: Press INDEX once.
2 .
Press INDEX to clear the display.
Memo :
● When video shooting is in progress, the information does
not appear.
● When the AC adapter is in use, the information does not
appear.

Turning On the Power

Preparation: Attach a charged battery or connect the AC
adapter.

Set the POWER/MODE switch to ON.

●The camcorder turns on in the video shooting mode.
Turning off the power
1 .
Set the POWER/MODE switch to OFF.
Auto Power Off feature
When [AUTO POWER OFF] in the [CAMERA SETTINGS]
menu is set to [ON], the power turns off automatically when it
is not operated for 5 minutes or longer.

Lens Cover

Before shooting, open the lens cover.
When this camcorder is not in use, close the lens cover to
protect the lens.
Use the lens cover switch to open or close the lens cover.
Memo :
● Do not press against the lens cover with force. Doing so
may damage the lens or the cover.
