Electrical Connections:

Although the machines are fitted with a thermal
overload in the motor windings, a separate three-
Fig.
phase common-trip circuit breaker must be
8
installed for all three-phase machines.
For proper circuit breaker protection, check the
data plate at the rear of the machine. Also
consult local electrical code for special
requirements.
Connect L1, L2, L3 and ground wires according
Fig.
to the markings of the terminal block. The cable
9
is to hang in a loose loop, supported by the clip
of the terminal block.
After installation, do the following:
Check the incoming power for any high voltage
leg by measuring voltage from each leg to gro-
und. If a high leg is present, connect that line to
L2 on the terminal block, which goes to the motor
circuit.
Start the machine and check that the drum
Fig.
rotates in the proper direction during extraction,
10
i.e. counter-clockwise when seen from the front.
If the drum rotates in the wrong direction switch
lines L1 and L3.
Check that the transformer on the control unit is
Fig.
correctly tapped for the incoming voltage. The
different voltage alternatives are printed on the
11
transformer circuit board.
