6. During recording, sound
cannot be heard.
7. The LCD monitor or
viewfinder indications blink.
8. Digital Zoom does not work.

SYMPTOM
9. Play, Rewind and Fast-Forward
functions do not work.
10. The LCD monitor image is
distorted.
11. The tape is moving, but there is
no picture.
12. Blocks of noise appear during
playback, or there is no
playback picture and the
screen becomes blue.
13. A memory card cannot be
played back.
6. • The optional headphones are
not connected to the
headphones connector.
(GR-DVM96 only)
• The sound volume of the
headphones connector
(GR-DVM96 only) was not
adjusted appropriately. The
sound volume at this point is
the same as the level it was
adjusted to during playback.
7. • Certain Wipe/Fader effects,
certain modes of Program AE
with special effects, "DIS"
and other functions that
cannot be used together are
selected at the same time.
8. • 10X optical zoom is selected.
• The VIDEO/MEMORY
Switch is set to "MEMORY".
POSSIBLE CAUSES
9. • The Power Switch is set to
"A" or "M".
• VIDEO/MEMORY Switch is
set to "MEMORY".
10. • During playback of the
unrecorded portion, High-
speed Search and still
playback, LCD monitor
indications appear distorted.
This is not a defect.
11. • Your TV has AV input
terminals, but is not set to its
VIDEO mode.
• The cassette holder cover is
open.

13. • The Power Switch is set to
"A" or "M".
• The VIDEO/MEMORY
Switch is set to "VIDEO".
6. • Connect the optional
headphones to the
headphone connector
(GR-DVM96 only).
