VFAD solenoid valve (13B-MSP (High Power))
• At an engine speed of less than 5,500 rpm, the VFAD solenoid valve turns off and feeds intake manifold
vacuum to the actuator (valve closes).
• At an engine speed of Approx. 5,500 rpm or
more, the VFAD solenoid valve turns on and
feeds BARO to the actuator (valve opens).
APV motor (13B-MSP (High Power))
• When the following conditions are met, a duty signal is sent to the APV motor, the APV gradually opens. If an
APV-open condition is not met, a minus duty signal is sent to the APV motor, reversing the motor and closing
the APV.
APV-open condition
— Engine speed: Approx. 6,250 rpm or more
— ECT: Approx. 20°C {68°F} or more
• The APV motor has a built-in APV position sensor that monitors the APV position.
• The duty ratio and the operation time when the
APV valve is open are as shown in the figure.
• When the opening conditions are not met, the
APV sends a reverse duty signal while the APV
opens.
• The duty ratio and the operation time when the
APV closes are as shown in the figure.
VDI solenoid valve
• At a VDI valve operation engine speed or more,
the VDI solenoid valve turns on and feeds intake
manifold vacuum to the actuator (valve opens).
