cream or similar) through the opening in the black lid. Do not switch off the blender. If
the blender is switched off with warm liquid in the jug and restarted, a pressure will be
created from the bottom part because of the high speed of the motor, and this may
cause the lid to be pressed off.
However, if nevertheless the blender has been switched off during the above process
containing warm liquid in the jug and it is to be restarted, press your hand on the lid using a
towel, an oven glove or similar – and take care of any splashing of warm liquid.
Never blend warm liquid alone, as the pressure inside the jug will be too high.
Important!
If you want to blend frozen ingredients (e.g. fruit, berries, vegetables) this shall be done
immediately after the ingredients have been added to the glass jug. If not, they will freeze
to a firm lump of ice that might block the knife during use. Add a little more water into the
container before switching on the appliance.
If you have to add more ingredients during use, this is possible, but you have to switch off
the blender before removing the stopper or the entire lid. Make sure that the food to be
blended is not too viscous or too dry for the motor. You may add some liquid through the
opening in the lid or turn off the blender and scrape the mixture down towards the knife
blade with a rubber spatula.
REMEMBER ALWAYS TO MOUNT THE LID BEFORE SWITCHING ON THE BLENDER!!
If you want to use the blender to crush ice, do not crush too much ice at a time. We
recommend that you start with max 5-8 ice cubes. Add a little more water before switching
on the appliance. Use the "Pulse" setting until you achieve the wanted result.
Important!
Cleaning of the jug after blending of frozen berries or ice cubes shall be in lukewarm water
as the blending has cooled off the glass jug and because hot water may create tensions in
the glass that may break.
Cleaning and maintenance
Wash the container and the lid in warm water with a washing-up liquid. Wipe thoroughly
before storing the blender. The parts are not dishwasher-proof. Do not use scouring powder
or other aggressive detergents that may scratch or dull the surface. Possible congealed
remains can be removed following a short soaking with a mild detergent and a soft brush.
Use a damp cloth to clean the motor part. Let the motor part cool off completely before
reuse or storing.
IMPORTANT: NEVER IMMERSE THE MOTOR PART IN ANY KIND OF LIQUID!
