How to replace upper platen conduct with harness replace

1 comments:
Mr. Anderson
May 14, 2025

To replace the upper platen conductor with harness on the Garland MWE3W:

1. Identify the correct harness: The upper platen harness is part number 1859807 or 1859814, connecting the Molex plug to the upper platen.

2. Disconnect power to the unit to ensure safety.

3. Locate and unplug the Molex connector from the upper platen harness.

4. Carefully remove the existing harness from its routing, noting the connection points.

5. Install the new upper platen harness by connecting the Molex plug to the upper platen and routing the harness as originally installed.

6. Secure the harness and ensure connections are firm.

7. Restore power and test for proper function.

Use caution when handling hot components and avoid damaging the platen surface.
