The magicolor 2550 Series printers use industry-standard 100-pin, un-
buffered dual-data-rate (DDR) SDRAM modules that effectively double
data throughput and consume less energy than conventional memory.
One DIMM slot is available for upgrading printer memory up to 640 MB.
Increased memory allows the printer to duplex additional media sizes at
highest resolution and may also help speed printing of complex,
graphics-filled files, especially in busy network environments.

Hard Disk
An optional 40 GB internal IDE hard disk can be installed on the
magicolor 2550 Series printers to provide additional memory, security,
and convenience functions.
Storage Store fonts, forms, overlays, and profiles.
PDF Print Direct-print PDF files (via PageScope Web
Connection) without first opening Adobe Reader.
Processing Enhance printed documents with booklet printing,
background printing, and printer-based electronic
collation.
Job Accounting Store job accounting information used to determine
printer usage and resource allocation.
Proof then Print Print and review the first copy of a document before
using PageScope Web Connection or the printer
control panel to release the remainder of the job.
Unprinted jobs are deleted manually or when the
printer is rebooted.
