The desktop Status Display provides real-
time supplies status for remote printers.
Status Display
The Status Display is a desktop utility that displays information about
the current status of the printer and its supplies. It is available to
computers running Windows and connected to a magicolor 2550 Series
printer via the Ethernet interface.
The supplies status screen is available on the Consumables tab. The
full-color, gas gauge-style display shows the percentage of life
remaining in each toner cartridge and the drum cartridge. You can
configure the Status Display to notify you went the level of a supply falls
below a certain percentage (for example, 10%).
Windows Control Panel—Printer Properties
Printer Properties also provides a convenient way
to view supply status. In the Windows Start menu,
choose Printers and Faxes, and then right-click on
the printer name or icon. Choose Properties, and
then click on the Configure tab. The Consumables
button displays a screen showing supplies status.
