The magicolor 2550 EN and 2550 DN
both provide 10/100BaseTX Ethernet,
Hi-Speed USB 2.0, and parallel interfaces.

Connectivity

The following interfaces are available on the magicolor 2550 EN and
2550 DN:
Ethernet—The autosensing 10/100BaseTX Ethernet interface
operates on both the traditional 10 Mbps LAN and 100 Mbps Fast
Ethernet networks, and supports the following protocols: TCP/IP,
EtherTalk, IPX/SPX (NetWare 4/5/6), NDS Bindery, NDPS,
NetBIOS, NtBEUI, SMB, HTTP, HTTPS, IPP 1.1, SNMP, LPD,
FTP, DHCP, BootP, ARP, Auto IP, Ping/ARP, SMTP, SLP, TCP/IP
socket, Telnet, and UPnP 2.0.
Parallel—The parallel interface supports IEEE 1284
communication and is also Microsoft "Plug and Play" compatible.
Hi-Speed USB 2.0—The Hi-Speed USB 2.0 interface provides a
4-pin Series B connector and runs at speeds up to 480 Mbps.
This interface supports Microsoft "Plug and Play."
USB 1.1 Host Port—Conveniently located on the front of the
magicolor 2550 DN, this interface is used for Camera Direct
Photo Printing.
Resolution
Standard—600 x 600 dpi
For draft prints and disposable documents, select Standard
resolution.
High Quality—9600 x 600 dp-class with Photo ART contone
screening
To generate photo-quality output with great detail and character in
fine lines and halftones, use High Quality resolution.
Increasing or reducing print resolution does not affect the speed of the
engine or significantly affect the amount of toner used for printed
output. The magicolor 2550 EN and 2550 DN print at full
speed regardless of the print resolution chosen,

and they provide a low cost per page
even when using High Quality.
