Failure to charge the Batteries could result in permanent damage to
them. Do not store your Segway PT or Batteries without fully
charging the Batteries for at least 12 hours, once a month. Left
unplugged, the Batteries could fully discharge over time, causing
permanent damage.
The Reference Manual contains important instructions regarding
Battery charging. Follow those instructions to prevent Battery damage
and to maximize Battery life.
