If the system still does not
operate properly after performing
the above measures, reset the
system as follows:
Use buttons on the unit for the operation.

Disconnect the power cord.

Reconnect the power cord.

Press ?/1 to turn on the system.

While holding down DISPLAY, touch x and
press ?/1 at the same time.
The system is reset to the factory settings except
for DVD settings. You should set the settings
you made, such as the preset stations, clock, and
timer.
To return the DVD setup to the
default settings*, perform reset
as follows:

Press DISPLAY in stop mode.

Press M or m repeatedly to select "SETUP",
then press ENTER.

Press M or m repeatedly to select "RESET",
then press ENTER.

Press M or m repeatedly to select "YES",
then press ENTER.
It takes a few seconds to complete. Do not
press ?/1 when resetting the system.

Messages

One of the following messages may appear or
flash in the display during operation.
USB storage media
Resume
Resume Play is activated (page 19).
Reading
The system is reading TOC information of the
inserted USB storage media. Some buttons are not
available.
No Media
USB storage media is not inserted. Otherwise, the
USB storage media was not recognized.
Blank
The inserted USB storage media is new, or there is
no file.
No Audio
The inserted USB storage media does not contain
MP3 audio tracks.
DVD/VIDEO CD/CD/MP3/JPEG/
DivX video
Cannot Play
• A disc that cannot be played was inserted
(page 6).
• A disc with an unsupported Region code was
inserted.
Data Error
• The MP3 audio track/JPEG image file/DivX
video file you want to play is broken.
• The data is not MPEG1 Audio Layer 3 data.
• The JPEG image file format does not conform to
DCF.
• The JPEG image file has the extension ".JPG" or
".JPEG", but is not in JPEG format.
• The file you want to play has the extension ".AVI"
or ".DIVX" but is not in DivX format, or is in
DivX format but does not conform to a DivX
Certified profiles.
No Disc
There is no disc in the unit.
Not in Use
You pressed an invalid button.
