You cannot perform some functions such as
Stop, Search, Slow-motion Play, Repeat Play,
Shuffle Play or Program Play.
• Depending on the disc, you may not be able to do
some of the operations above. Refer to the
operating instructions supplied with the disc.
MP3 audio track cannot be played back.
• Recording was not performed according to the
ISO9660 Level 1/Level 2 format, or Joliet in the
expansion format.
• The MP3 audio track does not have the extension
".MP3".
• The data is not stored in MP3 format.
• Discs containing files other than MPEG1 Audio
Layer-3 files cannot be played.
• The system cannot play audio tracks in MP3PRO
format.
• The "MODE (MP3, JPEG)" setting has been set to
"IMAGE (JPEG)" (page 33).
• The DATA CD contains a DivX video file.
• This system cannot play MP3 audio files recorded
on DATA DVDs.
• Playback is possible up to 8 levels.
• The disc contains more than 200 albums (the
maximum number of MP3 audio tracks that can be
contained on an album is 300).
MP3 audio tracks take longer to play back than
others.
• After the system reads all tracks on the discs,
playback may take more time than usual if:
– the number of albums or tracks on the disc is
very large.
– the album and track organization structure is
very complex.
The JPEG image file cannot be played.
• The DATA CD is not recorded in JPEG format
that conforms to ISO9660 Level 1/Level 2 or
Joliet.
• The JPEG image file does not have the extension
".JPG" or ".JPEG".
• The data is not formatted in JPEG even though it
has the extension ".JPG" or ".JPEG".
• It is larger than 3,072 (width) × 2,048 (height) in
normal mode, or more than 3,300,000 pixels in
Progressive JPEG.
• It does not fit the screen (those images are
reduced).
• The "MODE (MP3, JPEG)" setting has been set to
"AUDIO (MP3)" (page 33).
• The DATA CD contains a DivX video file.
• This system cannot play JPEG image files
recorded on DATA DVDs.
• Playback is possible up to 8 levels.
• JPEG image files with a high width to length ratio
cannot be played.
• The disc contains more than 200 albums (the
maximum number of JPEG image files that can be
contained on an album is 300).
The MP3 audio tracks and JPEG image file
starts playing simultaneously.
• "AUTO" is selected in "MODE (MP3, JPEG)"
(page 33).
The DivX video file cannot be played.
• The file is not created in DivX format.
• The file has an extension other than ".AVI" or
".DIVX."
• The DATA CD (DivX video)/DATA DVD is not
created in a DivX format that conforms to
ISO9660 Level 1/Level 2 or, Joliet/UDF.
• The DivX video file is larger than 720 (width) ×
576 (height).
"Data error" appears on the TV screen when
playing a DATA CD.
• The MP3 audio track/JPEG image file you want to
play is broken.
• The data is not MPEG1 Audio Layer 3 data.
• The JPEG image file format does not conform to
DCF.
• The JPEG image file has the extension ".JPG" or
".JPEG", but is not in JPEG format.
The disc name, album name and track name
are not displayed correctly.
• Use a disc that conforms with ISO9660 Level 1/
Level 2, or Joliet in the expansion format.
• The character codes that can be displayed by this
system are numbers and alphabet only. Other
characters appear as "*".
• ID3 tag information cannot be displayed on this
system.
The sound loses stereo effect when you play a
DVD, VIDEO CD, CD or MP3.
• Press KARAOKE PON to cancel Karaoke Pon
mode (page 64).
• Make sure the system is connected appropriately.
The surround effect is difficult to hear when
you are playing a Dolby Digital or MPEG audio
sound track.
• Make sure the sound field function is on
(page 61).
• Check the speaker connections and setting (pages
8 and 46).
