M D M essages
One of the following messages may appear or
flash in the display window during operation.
Auto Cut
The MD deck is pausing the recording because
silence continued for 30 seconds or more during
digital recording.
Blank Disc
The inserted recordable MD is new or all tracks
on the MD have been erased.
Cannot Edit
• The inserted MD is a premastered MD.
• You tried to edit in Program or Shuffle Play
mode. Cancel Program or Shuffle Play mode
and select "Continue" in the "Play Mode Set
Up ?" menu.
• You tried to change the recording level or
perform Fade-in and Fade-out operations after
the Daily Timer or Recording Timer turned
on the power. Turn the receiver on again,
cancel the timer function and proceed with the
Edit operation.
Cannot REC
Press FUNCTION to select the recording
source.
A pre-recorded MD is in the deck.
Complete!
MD editing was done completely.
Disc Full!
There is no time remaining on the disc (see
"System Limitations of MDs" on page 90).
Eject
The MD deck is ejecting the disc.
Impossible
You tried to edit the track which you have
edited too many times.
You tried to divide the first or end of the track.

Adjustment of the recording level after
recording or Fade-in and Fade-out procedures
have failed since the unit was either subject to
vibration or there is a damaged or dirty disc in
the tray. Place the unit in a stable place to
minimize shock and vibration. Do not use
damaged or dirty discs.
Initial
The unit is initializing since the power has not
been turned on for a long time.
Name Full!
There is no more space to store track or disc
titles.
No Change
When changing the recording level after
recording, the recording level did not change
since you pressed PUSH ENTER without
making the adjustment.
No Disc
There is no MD in the deck.
No Name
The inserted MD has a track numbers but no
disc titles.
– Over –
You have reached the end of the last track
during high-speed search.
Rehearsal
The dividing position playback after designated
it.
