The Water Dispenser
Press betton for the desired type of ice,

Additional flushiog may be reqeired in some households,
NOTE: As air is cleared from the system, water may SpLtE OUt Of
the dispenser.
Allow 24 hears for the refrigerator to cool down and chill water,

tray at the bottom of the dispenser is designed to ca~cb small

The Ice Dispenser

The Dispenser Light
The dispenser area has a light. It cart be tLImed on illaoually by
pressing the ON b~,~tton (touehpad or rocker switch).
On some models: Whenever you us~ the dispenser, the lever will
at.,tomattcally turn the light on.
Ice dispenses frets the Ice i'naker storage bin in the freezer, When
time dispenser lever Is pressed:
ii A trap door opens In a chute between the dispenser and Ihe
ice bin, Ice moves from the bin and falls through the ch[.tte.
s When you release the dispenser lever, tl~e trap door closes
and the ice dispensing stops, The dispensing system will not
operate when the freezer door is open,
Some models dispense both cubed and crushed ice, Before
dlsf:,enslrlg k:e, select which type of ice you prefer. ]he buttoo
controls are desigrled for easy cise and cleaning,

For crushed ice> cab~s are crushed before they ere dispensed,
This may cause a slight delay when dispensing crushed ice.
Noise frorn the ice crusher is normal, and pieces of ice may val¥
in size. When changing from crushed to cebed, a few ounces of
crushed ice will be dispensed along with the first cubes.
To Dispense ice:
1, If the ice storage bin is located on the door, remove the
temporary shield from underneath the ice storage bin, See
"Ice Maker and Storage Bin,"

The Dispenser Lock (on some models)
The dispenser can be turned off for easy cleaning or to avoid
tinlntentlonal dispensing hy sranll children and pets.
NOTE= The lock feature does not shat off power to lho
refrigerator, to the Ice maker, or to the dispenser light, It simply
deactivates th~ dispenser levers.
To tern off the dispenser, press the LOCK button. The indicator
will appear above the LOCK button arid the Ice and water
dispensers will not work, Te unlock the dispenser, press the
UNLOCK button antil the indicator appears, Then continue to
dispense ice or water as usual,
