Symptom
Deskset soft keys have
changed.
Cannot add an entry to Quick
Dial list.
Caller hears, "That key is not
recognized." or pressing an
invalid digit key triggers the
"The key you have pressed is
not recognized" voice
announcement.
Caller hears, "Invalid
extension."
Deskset Troubleshooting
Probable Cause
The highlight bar has moved to
another line.
The Quick Dial list is full – a
maximum of six are allowed.
The caller pressed invalid key
when interacting with the Auto
Attendant.
The caller entered an extension
number that does not exist in
your system when interacting
with the Auto Attendant.
The soft keys reflect the call state and Deskset
functions. They change depending on which line is
highlighted.
For example, there may be a held call, active call, or
incoming call on the screen. To view the soft keys for
that call, move the highlight bar by pressing the
or
navigation key.
You can edit Quick Dial entries on the Deskset or the
WEBUI. You cannot delete Quick Dial entries. If you
wish to replace an entry, edit the entry and replace
the details (see
Confirm your opening menu presents the correct
options for the Auto Attendant flow you have
created.
If your opening menu presents the specific extension
numbers for the Auto Attendant, confirm they are
correctly recorded or enable the Company Directory
feature.
