2.13.2 Interlock Switch

This switch is installed on the side of the power supply unit and locks with a tab on the
lamp cover. If you turned on the projector with the lamp cover open, the light source lamp
(lamp inner housing) would run and generate high heat. To protect you from burns, the
interlock switch is installed on the AC power source line and the projector cannot be turned
on while the lamp cover is open.

2.13.3 Safety Switch

This is the thermal switch for overheating protection installed on the lamp inner housing. If
an overheating condition is caused by contamination of the exhaust fan, the lamp
thermistor (described in 2.13.4) temporarily shuts off the supply of AC power to protect it
from overheating. The safety switch is installed to recognize overheating trouble in the
lamp thermistor.
