RC15 CONNECTION

The RC15 is a small remote which connects to the EXPANSION port on the RE32. It has 8
functions keys, 6 transport keys and a jog/shuttle wheel which can be programmed in a similar
way to the USER KEYS function described previously.
It may seem bizarre to offer a remote for a remote but the RC15 can be a useful addition to the
RE32 in project studios where recording and track laying is a one-man operation. The RC15
can be used in, say, a vocal booth or separate, isolated studio area or could be conveniently
located by your keyboard and/or sequencer for punching in and out of recordings and overdubs
away from the RE32. Its eight function keys are completely programmable to do whatever you
want and can be set using the RC15 SETUP page.
When the RC15 is connected, an extra softkey will appear on the USER KEYS SETUP page
accessed by pressing SHIFT+USER KEYS.
Pressing the RC15 SETUP softkey will take you to the following screen:
The RC15 keys are listed in the column on the left hand side of the screen. The 8 function keys
are listed as F1-F8, and the transport keys are listed as TRANSPORT 1-TRANSPORT 6. As on
the USER KEY SETUP page, you can select a function for each key and also select if the
command is sent to all machines or any specific machine.
