SMART Keyboard
You can use the SMART Keyboard to type text. The SMART Keyboard eliminates the
need for a physical keyboard.
NOTE
The SMART Keyboard is available in several views, including Classic, Number
Pad and Simple. When you start the SMART Keyboard, it appears in the most
recently used view. You can change the view at any time.
The SMART Keyboard is available in several views, including Classic, Number Pad
and Simple.
You can display the SMART Keyboard in the following views:
Classic view displays a standard QWERTY keyboard layout.
Simple view displays the keys in alphabetical order.
Simple Caps view displays the capitalized keys in alphabetical order.
Number Pad view displays numbers and symbols for math calculations and
equations.
When you start the SMART Keyboard, it appears in the most recently used view. You
can change the view at any time. You can change the settings for each view.
Press the SMART Board icon
The SMART Keyboard appears.
NOTE
You can also start the SMART Keyboard by pressing the Keyboard button on
the Floating Tools toolbar. However, you're unable to start the keyboard in this
way if you've customized the Floating Tools toolbar and removed the
SMART Keyboard button.
You can also start the SMART Keyboard by pressing the Keyboard button on
the pen tray (interactive whiteboards) or pressing the Keyboard function
button (interactive pen displays).
1. Place the cursor where you want to enter text in the program.
2. If you haven't done so already, start the SMART Keyboard.
3. Press the keys on the SMART Keyboard.
in the system tray, and then select Keyboard.
