Chapter 2 Configuration

RADIUS

These settings are used to configure the authentication server.

• The default Sesson-Timeout is 10 seconds and the default number of Retries is 2. If either has been
updated, the new value is used when notified of a Session-Timeout by the authentication server.
• The switch must be reset to delete a Shared Secret that has been set. The Shared Secret can be
changed.
Meaning
Enable the authentication server.
IP address of the authentication server.
The port number of the authentication server.
The shared secret for the authentication server may contain up to
20 alphanumeric characters, hyphens (-), and underscores (_).
Sets the time until the next authentication is required.
Range: 1 to 65535
This is selected to adhere to Termination-Action notified by the
authentication server.
