Powering on an
AC Chassis
To attach the frame ground, perform the following procedure:
1. Use a crimping tool to affix the cable lug to one end of the 14 AWG
ground wire.
2. Remove the 4M nut from the frame ground connector on the back
panel of the AT-8400 chassis.
3. Attach the ground wire to the frame ground connector on the
AT-8400 chassis and secure with the 4M nut removed in Step 2.
4. Attach the other end of the ground wire to an appropriate earth
ground.
This procedure describes how to power on an AC powered AT-8400
Series switch with an AT-PWR10 power supply installed. If you have an
AT-PWR11 power supply installed in your chassis, see
Chassis on page 94.
1. Connect the AC power cord to the PWR A power connector on the
back panel of the chassis. See Figure 50.
