Most TV productions are broadcast in 4:3
picture format at present. This matches the
picture format of most TV sets. However,
productions are also broadcast in 16:9
format. There are then black bands at the
top and bottom of the screen. In TV sets
with 16:9 picture format it is possible to
get this broadcast to fill up the whole
screen. You can adapt your TV picture to
various transmission formats. Pay attention
to the correct picture geometry.
