Print Head Replacement

NEVER REMOVE THE PRINT HEAD FROM THE PRINTER - EXCEPT
FOR REPLACEMENT.
TURN OFF THE POWER TO THE PRINTER BEFORE STARTING ANY
ELECTRONIC COMPONENT REPLACEMENT.
NOTE: The Anti-static wrist strap (which must contact the skin and be tight) and
anti-static gloves must be worn at all times when handling a print head to
avoid damaging the print head.
1) The head can then be removed by loosening the two 3.0mm screws
simultaneously. The head will then drop out, sliding off the two-locator pins.
To replace, reverse the procedure - taking care that the head properly engages
the locator pins.
NOTE: The printhead connectors on the top new printhead must be upward
approximately 15 degrees to enable the printhead cable to clear the ink
roller.
2) After printhead replacement, the printer should be ready to print. There is no
tangent adjustment required. This adjustment is factory set and sealed.
Printhead pressure is also set by design and is not adjustable
NOTE: If the cable is not connected correctly, the print head will be damaged when
the printer is powered on. Check to see that the cable is tight by observing
from underneath the print head. The print head cable connector should be
inside of the black connector located on the print head.
3) Replace the ink and double-check your work. Power the printer on and make sure
that no adverse effects are noted.
4) Set the head category. Press the MODE key twice to get to the ENTER
PRINTHEAD SETUP prompt. Press the ENTER key, the press the MODE key
until the HEAD CATEGORY prompt appears. Use the <YES and NO> keys to
