In order to protect basic and individual settings, your Gi-
gaset 2011 pocket has two four-digit "key numbers", the
base code and the handset PIN (personal identification
number). The factory default for both numbers is "0000".
The base code must be known if you want to perform im-
portant basic settings or lock the handset for outgoing
calls. The base code is the main key to your Gigaset 2011
pocket.
The PIN is used to protect settings that mainly affect the
handset or the handsets, and have no influence on the
basic operation of the base station. For security reasons,
you should set a new base code and a new PIN.
The same base code applies to all handsets if more than
one is used (' page 76).
