Only use battery pack C39153-Z7-C3 (' page 91).
Never use other batteries or normal (non-re-
chargeable) batteries. These can short circuit or
destroy the battery unit (dangerous). The follow-
ing labels are found on the battery compart-
ments of the handset and charging unit:
Short circuits in the battery pack must be avoided
l
(dangerous).
During storage and transport , these can be caused by
keyrings, metal plates, etc. To prevent this, the bat-
tery pack must be stored outside the handset in a
special insulation package.
Avoid contact with water and fire.
l
Do not dismantle the battery pack. This could result in
l
corrosive electrolyte emissions.
Do not dispose of old, defective battery packs with or-
l
dinary household refuse.
The battery pack heats up during charging. This is nor-
l
mal and is not dangerous.
Do not use non-Siemens charging units. This could
l
damage the battery pack.
Only use the plug-in power unit supplied. For more in-
l
formation, see the imprint inside the base plate or the
device label on the underside of your base station.
If possible, do not cross the base station plugs. Oth-
l
erwise, the voltage applied to the charging contacts
may surge during storms, for example.
Do not operate the handset in environments where
l
there is danger of explosion.
Research has shown that in certain cases, medi-
cal equipment can be affected by activated cord-
less telephones (DECT). A distance of at least
one metre should therefore be maintained be-
tween the telephone and medical equipment.
When using cordless telephones in the vicinity of
medical equipment, the regulations of the rele-
vant institution must be observed.
Type as indicated in these in-
stallation instructions.
