Step by step guide to putting into service
To charge the battery pack, place the handset in the rest
on the base station. The charging contacts on the base of
the handset must touch the contacts in the base station.
The LED below the battery symbol on the base station
will light up as a control.
Your battery pack reaches its peak performance
level after a few days of operation. Before initial
use, we recommend that the battery pack be
charged for approx. 16 hours without interrup-
tion (ignore charge display). You should then
deep discharge the battery through normal use
(without deactivating it or replacing it in the
charging shell) until the battery warning tone
sounds. This adapts the mobile unit to the bat-
tery pack.
This procedure should be repeated at intervals
to ensure that the battery pack retains peak per-
formance level.
The default package contains:
A Gigaset 2011 pocket base station (see label with CE

symbol on the base station),
Enhanced Gigaset 2000C pocket handset (see im-

print on the rear of the handset),
A telephone cord with Mini-Western plug and TAE
l
plug,
A power cord with Mini-Western plug and PSU,
l
A cover for the handset's battery compartment,
l
A carrying clip for the handset,
l
A NiMH battery pack,
l
Operating instructions,
l
2 screws and 2 plugs for wall mounting.
