• Protection shield must be used with children 22 to 40 lb (10 to 18 kg).
• Seat cushion must be used with children 22 to 30 lb (10 to 13.6 kg).
• Always secure seat cushion in place using snaps on sides of seat cover.
• Discontinue use of the protection shield when child exceeds 40 lb
(18 kg) or 43 in. (109 cm).

5.1 Adjustments for toddlers

5.1.1 Adjusting the seat cushion height

For Children 22 to 30 lb (10 to 13.6 kg)
Your car seat provides a seat cushion for use with children 22 to 30 lb (10 to
13.6 kg) that adjusts the sitting height of the child.
The seat cushion can be adjusted to your child's size offering three seating
heights which offer improved seated comfort especially for smaller children.
- If the vehicle seat back angle is variable,
adjust the vehicle seat to match the angle
of the car seat (car seat contacting seat
back) (Fig. 10).
