8. Certification and use on aircraft

This car seat system conforms to all applicable Federal Motor Vehicle Safety
Standards.
• Aircraft Use
- TODDLER CAR SEAT (WITH the protection shield;
22 to 40 lbs (10 to 18 kg)):
This Restraint is Certified for Use in Motor Vehicles and
Aircraft. To use this toddler car seat on aircraft, follow the
instructions for use with a vehicle lap belt.
- BOOSTER CAR SEAT (WITHOUT the protection shield;
40 to 110 lbs (18 to 50 kg)):
This Restraint is NOT Certified for Use in Aircraft. Aircraft
do not have a lap and shoulder belt as required to use this
booster car seat.

9. Removing and replacing the covers

WARNING
!
• The covers are part of the safety design. Never use your car seat
system without its original covers.

9.1 Removing the headrest cover

Slide the adjustable headrest up onto the highest position.
From back of car seat, place plastic anchor
through hole in LATCH lower anchor belt
attachment strap an into back of car seat
(Fig. 60; No. 1) and secure with screw (Fig. 60
No. 2).
Repeat on opposite side.
DEATH or SERIOUS INJURY can occur
