Memory card is full
- The memory card is full. Delete some recordings (0 56, 102) to free some space or replace
the memory card.
Memory card is write-protected
- The LOCK switch on the memory card is set to prevent accidental erasure. Change the posi-
tion of the LOCK switch.
Need to recover files from the memory card. Change the position of the LOCK switch on the
memory card.
- This message will appear the next time you turn on the camcorder if power supply was acci-
dentally interrupted while the camcorder was writing on the memory card and later the posi-
tion of the card's LOCK switch was changed to prevent erasure. Change the position of the
LOCK switch.
No faces were detected in this scene
- The camcorder did not detect any faces in the scene displayed. Be sure to turn on face detec-
tion (0 66) when shooting movies.
No memory card
- Insert a compatible memory card into the camcorder (0 38).
No photos
- There are no photos to play back. Have fun taking some photos (0 42, 58).
No scenes
- There are no scenes in the memory selected. Have fun shooting some video (0 42).
- After selecting [Scenes with Faces] when narrowing down the scenes shown in the index
screen: No scenes contain people's faces or no scenes were recorded using the face detec-
tion function.
Not enough available space
- Delete some recordings on the memory card (0 56, 102) or select the [3Mbps] bit rate for
the conversion to SD.
Number of scenes already at maximum
- The maximum number of scenes (3,999 scenes) has been reached. Delete some scenes
(0 56) to free some space.
- The playlist can contain a maximum of 999 scenes.
Playlist is full. Cannot divide the scene.
- Scenes cannot be divided when the playlist already contains 999 scenes. Delete some scenes
from the playlist (0 95).
Recording program: Underwater / Surface
Turn on the camcorder while holding PHOTO pressed down to change the recording program

- Follow the instructions to switch the recording program between [Underwater] and [Surface]
while the camcorder is secured inside the optional WP-V2 Waterproof Case.
