Cellular Information
Antenna System Cellular Devices
The cellular/wireless performance is dependent on the implementation and antenna design. The integration of the
antenna system into the product is a critical part of the design process; therefore, it is essential to consider it early
so the performance is not compromised. If changes are made to the certified antenna system of the
SocketModem, then recertification will be required by specific network carriers such as Sprint.
PTCRB Antenna Requirements
There cannot be any alteration to the authorized antenna system. The antenna system must maintain the same
specifications. The antenna must be the same type, with similar in-band and out-of-band radiation patterns.
This device has been designed to operate with the antennas listed below and having a maximum gain of 3.93dBi.
Antennas not included in this list or having a gain greater than 3.93dBi are strictly prohibited for use with this
device. The required antenna impedance is 50 ohms.
