3.6 Electrical Block Diagram
The product concept is a combination of a 12.1" LCD panel and a touch-
screen. In order to reduce the depth of the LCD touch monitor and solve
cooling problems at the same time, a DC input is designed to remove the
AC switching power supply. An AC switching power adapter of full
range is used to provide DC voltage of the monitor.
The LCD touch monitor is constructed based on steel open frame archi-
tecture. It consists of a 12.1" LCD panel, a DC to AC inverter board to
support a set of cold cathode fluorescent light (CCFL), an analog to digi-
tal converter board (ADC) to convert analog RGB signals to digital ones
and a touchscreen used as a pointing device. A metal chassis supports the
whole module.
