II. 100 uA Sensor Calibration.
1_______
Set C1 to 0.99, C2 to 2.57.
2_______
Set the sensor select switch to "100 uA" (-01-).
3_______
Connect the output of the LDT-5525 to the 5525 Sensor Test Fixture. Set the fixture for SENSOR 1,
2
Load 1
.
4_______
Hold down both the "MODE" and "SENSOR CAL" buttons. This will put the 5525 into "Sensor Cal"
3
mode.
5_______
Allow the sensor measurement circuit to settle, usually about 3 seconds.
6_______
Hold down the "ENBL" button and turn the knob until the display reads the value of the calibrated
resistor, in kΩ (4.00).
7_______
Release the "ENBL" button and wait for the "VIEW SET" light to go out.
8_______
Set the 5525 SENSOR Test Fixture "Load" switch to position 2
9_______
Allow the sensor measurement circuit to settle.
10______
Hold down the "ENBL" button and dial in the known sensor resistance (40.08).
11______
Release the "ENBL" button.
12______
Wait for the automatic set point cal procedure to complete - about 10 seconds.
13______
Set the 5525 Sensor Test Fixture "Load" switch to the "Chk" position. Verify the resistance reading is
20.07 plus or minus 0.05.
14______
Connect a voltmeter to the Analog Output BNC connector of the 5525 and measure the DC volts.
Verify the voltage reading is 2.007 volts plus or minus 0.5 volts.
2
Be sure you are properly grounded whenever you make contact with the rear connector.
3
Calibration can be terminated at any time by pressing the "OUTPUT" button. This will stop cal; no cal constants
will be stored to the EEPROM.
4
It doesn't matter which value resistor is used first.
