5525 Production Calibration Procedure

LDT-5525 POST BURN-IN CALIBRATION
I. Ite Current Calibration

Set the sensor select switch to "100 uA" and set C1 to 0.99, C2 to 2.57.

Connect the output to the TEC Cal/Test Fixture, and set the TEC Cal/Test Fixture for ITE calibration.

Set the DMM to measure DC volts.

Hold down both the "MODE" and "DISPLAY" buttons. This will put the 5525 into "ITE CAL" mode.

Wait until the output has settled to about 3 Amps, usually about 3 seconds.

Read the voltmeter, and calculate Ite: Ite = Vmeter / Rcal.

Hold down the "ENBL" button and turn the knob until the display reads the calculated Ite.

Release the "ENBL" button.
9_______
Allow the Ite current to settle at the new point ( -3 A), again about 3 seconds.
10______
Read the voltmeter, and calculate Ite.

Hold down the "ENBL" button and dial in the new current.

Release the "ENBL" button.
13______
Allow the Ite current to settle at the new point ( +3A).
14______
Calculate the actual Ite current.
15______
Hold down the "ENBL" button and dial in the calculated current.

Release the "ENBL" button.

Allow the Ite current to settle to the new point ( +1 A).

Calculate the actual Ite current.
19______
Hold down "ENBL" and dial in the calculated current.
20______
Release "ENBL".
21______
Allow Ite to settle to the new point (-1 A).

Calculate Ite.
23______
Hold down "ENBL" and dial in the calculated current.
24______
Release "ENBL".
25______
Allow Ite to settle to the new point (-3 A).
26______
Calculate Ite.
27______
Hold in "ENBL" and dial in the calculated current.

Release "ENBL".

Wait for the automatic limit cal procedure to complete - about 10 seconds.

Check the calibration: set the limit to 4A; adjust the Ite control while checking the actual current. Test
Ilim cal: set Ite to 4A, adjust Ilim from 4A down to 0A. Repeat check of Ilim cal for Ite set = -4A.

Calibration can be terminated at any time by pressing the "OUTPUT" button. This will stop cal; no constants will
be saved to EEPROM.
