Hardware Installation

2.1 Installation Instructions

The AP-650 Thin Access Point mounts either on a wall with wide-shoulder screws or on a suspended
ceiling T-bar. This unit is not designed for mounting on a desk.
To prepare for installation, perform the following steps:
1. Match the model number on the purchase order with the model numbers in the packing list
and on the case of the device shipped.
2. Verify that the contents of the box include the intended AP-650 Thin Access Point and that
the included hardware matches the package contents on page 2.

specifies which country the model is designed for. A country code of
"WW" represents a world wide model. A code of "OUS" represents an
outdoor US model.
The "OUS" model is approved for use outdoors and indoors operation in
the United States. Standard SKUs are approved for indoor use only.
When using WiNG 4 code, the OUS SKU must be used with WiNG 4.3.1
or a later WiNG 4.x release.
When using WiNG 5 code, the OUS SKU must be used with WiNG 5.1.0
or a later WiNG 5.x release..
