Sending Faxes from PC

The FAX Driver function makes it possible to send faxes from any computer connected by USB or network cable. Its
primary features include the following.
• PC-prepared document can be sent by fax without being printed out.
• An Address Book (in the machine/PC) can be used to specify a desired destination.
• Addition of a cover page.
Flow of Sending Faxes from PC
Sending faxes from PC is performed in the following sequence.
Prepare a document using a PC connected to this machine.
Forward the document data from the PC to this machine using the
same operation as for printing.
The machine sends the document data to another fax machine.
The other fax machine receives the data.
Setup
Connection to a PC
Connect the machine to a PC using the network cable or USB cable. For details, refer to Connections on page 2-2.
Installing Software on the PC
Install the dedicated software (included in the supplied Product Library disc) on your PC required to use FAX Driver.
For details, refer to Installing and Uninstalling Drivers and Utilities on page 2-20.
