Troubleshooting

Fault
The camcorder cannot
be switched on.
The camcorder suddenly
switches off.
The recorded image
was not saved.
The camcorder switches
off while a photo is be-
ing recorded with the
self-timer.
The image is out of fo-
cus.
It is not possible to use
the memory card.
None of the buttons
work.

Possible cause
The battery is not cor-
rectly inserted.
The battery is empty.
The Auto Power Off
function is activated.
The battery in the cam-
corder is empty.
The power supply
failed before the image
was saved.
The battery in the cam-
era is empty.
The motif was not in
the area of focus.
The memory card is
write-protected.
The memory card con-
tains non-DCF images
from other camcorders.
There was a short cir-
cuit when the camera
was connected to an-
other device.
Solution
Insert the battery cor-
rectly.
Charge the battery.
Switch the device on
again.
Change the battery.
Replace the battery im-
mediately when the bat-
tery LED lights up red.
Change the battery.
Take a photo in the
available area of focus
and select either Normal
or Macro Mode.
Remove the write protec-
tion on the memory card.
Format the memory
card. Save the data
elsewhere before you
format the memory card.
Remove the battery from
the camera and replace
it once more.
