Via the shift paddles on the steering
wheel
> To shift up, briefly pull the right-hand shift
paddle +.
> To shift down, briefly pull the left-hand shift
paddle –.
In the following situations, the Sequential
M Gearbox anticipates your intentions when in
the Sequential mode:
> Upshifts and downshifts are performed only
at a suitable engine or road speed; for
example, the gearbox cannot shift down if
the resulting engine speed would be too
high.
> When you bring the car to a halt, first gear is
selected automatically.
> Shortly before you reach the minimum
speed for the gear that is selected, the gear-
box shifts down without any action required
on your part.
Drivelogic
Drivelogic provides you with various driving
programs.
In the Drive mode:
There are five driving programs to choose from,
ranging from relaxed 1 to sporty/highly
dynamic 5. In the first driving program, the car
moves away in second gear provided the cata-
lytic converter is at operating temperature; this
is recommended in wintery road conditions
when driving on ice and snow.
In the Sequential mode:
You can choose from six driving programs,
ranging from balanced dynamic 1 to pure
sporty 6.

Driving program 1 is activated each time the
engine is started.
The pure sporty driving program 6 is only avail-
able with Dynamic Stability Control DSC
switched off, see page 68. When DSC is
switched on, the driving program is changed
from 6 to 5.
To maintain dynamic stability, drive with
DSC switched on at all times if
Each time you change between the Sequential
and Drive modes, the driving program last
selected in the mode you have just entered will
be active. Exception: if the sequential driving
program 6 was the last one selected, program 5
is activated instead.

Press the button as often as necessary until the
desired driving program is displayed in the
instrument cluster, see page 49.

You can also activate your preferred driving
program via the button on the steering wheel,
see MDrive on page 43.
With the ignition key in position 2, you can
adjust the MDrive settings on the control
display.

1. Call up start menu.
2. Press the controller to call up the menu.
3. Select "Vehicle settings" and press the
controller.
4. Select "MDrive" and press the controller.
