Select "Service status" and press the
controller.

Select "Enable services" and press the con-
troller.
TeleService and possibly also BMW Assist
are enabled, and the exchange of data with
the service centre starts.
The enabling process takes several minutes.
The status is indicated on the control display.
If you call up another menu, enabling continues
in the background.
Services available
The following special factors apply to the
TeleService and BMW Assist services:

The actual services available may vary from
country to country.
>
Depending on the specification and country
of use, voice contact is established or data
are transferred. In certain countries, both
are possible.
>
The data transferred may comprise your
vehicle data, your current position or data
for Condition Based Service CBS.

Automatic Service notification*
The data on the service status of your car or on
statutory inspections is transmitted automati-
cally when a service or inspection is imminent.
You can check when BMW Service was notified.

Call up start menu.
2.
Press the controller to call up the menu.
3.
Select "Service" and press the controller.
4.
Select "Service requirements" and press
the controller.
5.
Select "Service notification" and press the
controller.
Breakdown recovery
You can contact the BMW Group's Mobile

Service
if you require assistance in the event
of a breakdown.

button.
The start menu is called up.
2.
Move the controller forwards to select
"Communication".
3.
Select "BMW Assist" and press the control-
ler.
