Chapter 7: Troubleshooting Guide

N4100+ Won't Turn On

In the event that the N4100+ won't turn on, check to see that the power cable is
correctly plugged in to the N4100+. Also check to see if the electrical outlet is
functioning.

Resetting NAS IP Address and Admin Password

If you've forgotten the admin password, or if you need to reset the unit's IP
address, first make sure that the unit is powered off. With the unit powered off,
press and hold the reset button. With the reset button held down, power on the
system by pressing the power button. You can release the reset button after 30
seconds. After that, the N4100+'s WAN IP address will be reset to 192.168.1.100
temporarily. Please note that all file services at this time will be stopped.
1. When you point your browser to 192.168.1.100, you will see the following
screen.
2. If you select Reset to Factory Default option, the system will be reset.

WAN IP Gateway
WAN Jumbo Frame Support
LAN IP
192.168.2.254
LAN Jumbo Frame Support
HTTP Port
HTTPS port

Forgot My Network IP Address

If you forget your network IP address and have no physical access to the system,
you can use the setup wizard to retrieve the IP of your N4100+.
1. Start the Setup Wizard, and it will automatically detect all Thecus IP
storage products on your network.
2. You should be able to find the IP address of the N4100+ which you have
forgotten in the Device Discovery screen.
