16 Trouble Shooting
Before calling the Help Desk please try the following to help solve any problems: -

Checks
Check that the mains plug is
inserted correctly.
TV in standby
Is the screen blue? YES
Set may be in AV mode
Are you out of range?
Battery power may be low.
Room brightly illuminated.
Incorrect aerial or broken aerial
Volume turned down.
Mute set.
Tv sound may be set incorrectly
Disc incorrectly loaded
Disc incorrect region
Disc may be dirty or damaged
TV / DVD set to incorrect

MP3 file names are only recognized with the alphabet letters and (0 – 9).
Only 10 characters can be displayed.
• Unit may be in Standby mode
• Remote control batteries may be dead
• Remote control not aimed properly
• Aerial is disconnected
• Aerial is damaged/ misaligned
• Out of digital signal area
• Tuned to digital Teletext channel
• Loose cable connections
• TV may not be in AV mode
Re inserts the mains plug. Switch on the
wall socket
Use the remote control to switch set out of
standby Try CH+ or CH- on Tv
Connect a suitable aerial to the socket at
the rear.
Select TV from AV
Move nearer the set
If the remote is used frequently, change the
batteries every 6 months.
In some cases bright lighting may affect
remote control functions.
For best results an external aerial is
recommended.
Have aerial checked by an engineer.
Turn up the volume.Unset the "Mute"
Enter SYSTEM Menu and select "Sound
system" Set to 6.0M for UK
Reload disc with label side up.
Check region code. This player only plays
region 2 discs.
Clean the disc carefully.
Replace the disc with a good known one
Set Player to "Auto" or PAL if it is a PAL
disc
• Press Standby on remote control
• Check or replace batteries
• Aim remote control at front panel
• Check aerial lead
• Check aerial
• Check with dealer
• Retune to another channel
• Check all cable connections
• Check that AV channel is selected on TV
• Use Pin 2846 to restore the default PIN
• Reset the original new condition.
• Select " Menu"
• Press 0000
