4b. Pressing the left button on the mouse and dragging it to the right and left changes the
magnification. Dragging it to the right increases the magnification, and dragging it to the left
decreases it. While viewing the image, perform adjustments until an appropriate
magnification level is attained. Adjustment can be continued until the left button on the
mouse is released even if the cursor moves outside of the observation Magnification button.

4.2.13 Fine Focusing

When conducting a high-magnification observation, manually perform fine-focusing.
The following methods can be employed to perform adjustments.
1. Dragging the Mouse in the Observation Image
1a. Move the particular site on the specimen to be focused on to the center of the image,
and click the Reduce button for the View Mode. This limits the FOV to near the center of the
screen.

1b. Move the mouse cursor into the image viewing area. The cursor changes to a focus
adjustment display.
