6.3 Synchronous Mode

In order to program the Flash-ROM synchronously special third-party soft- and hardware has
to be used, e.g. GALEP-5 from www.conitec.de. This tool is not available for free.
A dedicated Flash programming socket (X17) is provided on the evaluation-board for direct
connection to the serial adapter of GalepIV.
X17: Flash programming socket
Note:
Open the jumpers JP2 (SIN2) and JP1 (SOT2), in order to avoid that the
synchronous programming tool drives against either the on-board RS232 transceiver
or LIN"A" transceiver!
JP52: closed (for faster programming)
JP51A/B: closed
6.3.1 Galep Programmer
In case that the Galep programmer with serial adapter is used, all Mode-settings will be done
automatically by the Galep. This means that all DIP-switch S2 has to be set to the "OFF"
position.
At MB90350 (16LX) take care that the port pins P00_0 and P00_1 are pulled down by 10K.
That is important for in-circuit serial programming!
When using
Galep from Conitc
Please refer to the manual of Galep from Conitec for more information how to program a
Flash-device by the synchronous-serial mode.
6.3.2 Other Serial Programmer than Galep
In case that another Programming-Tool is used and the Mode-settings have to be done
manually, then use the following configuration of DIP-switch S2 in order to select the
synchronous-serial Flash-programming mode:
