SCANNER NOT SCANNING BARCODE
1 comments:
Mr. Anderson
March 31, 2025
The Newland NLS-HR15 scanner may not be scanning barcodes for the following reasons:
1. Code 11 Barcode Length: If using Code 11 barcodes with a check character algorithm and the "Do Not Transmit Check Character" option enabled, and the barcode length is less than the configured minimum (after excluding the check character), the barcode will not be decoded.
2. ISBN/ISSN Disabled: If the scanner fails to read ISBN or ISSN barcodes, the corresponding option (ISBN or ISSN) may be disabled. You need to enter setup and enable it.
3. Interleaved 2 of 5 Disabled: If the scanner cannot read Interleaved 2 of 5 barcodes, the format might be disabled. You need to enable it through the setup.
4. Incorrect Decode Area Mode: If multiple barcodes are close together or the scanner reads unintended codes, the decode area setting may need adjustment. Use Specific Area Decoding or Acuread Decoding to improve targeting.
5. Smart Stand Mode: If the scanner is in the stand, it may have switched to Sense mode. Check the scan mode and remove it from the stand if necessary.
These settings must be correctly configured for the scanner to function properly.

Need help?
Do you have a question about the NLS-HR15 and is the answer not in the manual?
Questions and answers
SCANNER NOT SCANNING BARCODE
