GPS
The GPS setting provides diagnostic
displays to confirm a GPS signal is being
received. Satellite Position, Satellite
Signal, Latitude, Longitude, Altitude,
Speed, Date, and Time are displayed.
This information may provide useful
when placing the external GPS antenna.
Battery Voltage
The voltage for both the vehicle battery
as well as the Observer 2100's back-up
battery are displayed in volts.
Additionally, you can set the Cut Off
Level. When voltage drops below the
value, the Observer 2100 automatically
shuts off for protection. Tap the ^ and
v buttons to adjust the values.
Speed Switch Display
Speed Switch functionality is currently under development.
Factory Default
Confirming the prompt in the Factory Default option reverts
all settings to their factory defaults and reboots the system.
Firmware Upgrade
To upgrade the Observer 2100's firmware:
1.
Obtain the firmware upgrade file from Safety Vision
Technical Support.
2.
Place the file in the root directory of an otherwise
empty SD card.
3.
Place the SD card in slot 1 and remove any other SD
cards.
4.
Select the Firmware Upgrade option and confirm the
prompt.
5.
The Observer 2100's firmware is automatically
upgraded.
Speed Switch Setup
Speed Switch functionality is currently under development.

Shutter Camera
Select how cameras equiped with an optional electronic
shutters and heaters operate. Select Shutter/heater by
Power ON to power these features whenever the Observer
2100 is on. Select Shutter/heater by Trigger to power these
features only when the camera's trigger is active. Select
No shutter/heater if no cameras are equiped with these
features.
Trig.4 Recording
Select Screen Only to only turn on the screen when trigger
4 becomes active during Security Mode. Select Event Rec to
also record an event.
Sys-Info.
The firmware version and model number are displayed.
